Desperate housewife faces most challenging storyline yet
Tuesday, 2 October 2007
Fans of Desperate Housewives will be shocked and moved to see Lynette Scavo begin the fourth season of the programme with a bald head.
At the end of last season Lynette was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and as season 4 kicks off, viewers will see her battle against the disease and witness her reaction to the effects of chemotherapy.
Felicity, 44, is expected to give a sensitive and moving portrayal, as her character Lynette chooses to hide the truth about her illness from her children and friends because she doesn't want their pity.
Show creator Marc Cherry believes the storyline will be dealt with in a emotional yet humorous way. 'We don't want to do some ridiculous she-might-die thing,' he reports.
'It was to see what being sick does to you and the people around you.'
