Mick Jagger: I’m worried for Amy Winehouse

Rock star fears Amy will start using drugs again

Amy Winehouse and Mick Jagger

Mick Jagger has expressed his worry for troubled singer Amy Winehouse – and says he fears she might end up dead.

The 24-year-old was due to perform with the Rolling Stones but had to pull out shortly after her suspected drug overdose in August.

And rock legend Mick says he’s concerned that if she goes on a drug binge again she’ll die.

‘Amy is a brilliant artist who makes fantastic music,’ he tells The Sun.

‘She would have been amazing on that tour. But I’m worried she might die if she goes down the road that she has taken.’

But Mick knows only too well how easy it is to slip into a life of drink and drugs – because he’s been there himself.

‘I could have ended up like Amy years ago,’ he admits.

‘But I always had that voice in my head that kept me on my toes and told me to stop altogether in the end.

‘I realised I didn’t want to die young.’
