Louis Walsh is feuding with Simon Cowell again

X Factor judge wanted groups category

In The X Factor auditions, Louis Walsh handpicked two groups of solo contestants and advised them to get together in bands, figuring that either Hope or Futureproof would turn out to be this year’s eventual winner.

Then he sat back and waited for the opportunity to guide them all the way through to the final.

Instead, however, he's now found himself in charge of the over-25s category, with Simon taking care of the bands.

‘I walked in to find out what my category was and my face fell,’ he says.

‘Then I said to the over-25s: “I don’t want you guys.” I threw a tantrum and of course the other three judges loved it.’
