Troubled singer requests sheriff's assistance to steer off paparazzi

Britney Spears made a call to police to send an officer to accompany her to Starbucks.

The 25-year-old requested the local force in her hometown of Malibu shield her from the string of photographers who follow her every move.

Once inside the coffee shop the officer assisted the mother-of-two, making sure the paparazzi kept out.

Britney didn’t respond of any of the photographers' calls and simply clung onto her Yorkshire terrier, called London.

Who knew a frappuccino could cause such frenzy?
