Sharon Osbourne makes suicide pact with Ozzy

X Factor judge says she'll kill herself if she inherits Alzeimer's disease

Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne has made a suicide pact with her hubby Ozzy – and says they will end their lives if they ever suffer from brain disease.

The X Factor judge is terrified of inheriting Alzheimer’s after watching her dad, Don Arden, suffer for 3 years - and says she would rather die than go through it herself.

‘I saw my father suffer from the day he came back into my life in 2002 to the day he died in July,’ she tells the Daily Mirror.

‘He deteriorated at such a rapid speed he became a shell of himself – dribbling, wearing a diaper and tied to a wheelchair because he didn’t realise he couldn't walk.’

And the memory has left Sharon, 54, determined to put an end to her life if her or Ozzy inherit the disease.

‘We believe 100 percent in euthanasia so have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains.

‘There’s no way I could go through what he did,’ she says. ‘Some say the disease is hereditary so at the first sign I want to be put out of my misery.’
