Weakest Link host says ‘goodbye’ to 27 years of marriage

Anne Robinson has said ‘goodbye’ to husband John Penrose after 27 years of marriage.

The Weakest Link host and husband John, 60, have grown apart in recent months, with John moving into a cottage five miles away from their Cotswolds home.

While the couple have both admitted affairs in the past, they insist nobody else is involved.

They also hope to remain friends, with Ann, 63, sharing her £60 million fortune straight down the middle.

'They have just realised they have no future together. It's very sad but they both felt a divorce was for the best,' a friend tells The Sun

'Anne is conscious of the enormous contribution John has made to her success and has agreed to give him half her fortune.'

The couple has confirmed they're splitting over irreconcilable differences but that there's 'no acrimony'.

Anne says in a statement: 'We have been an enormously important part of each other’s lives for a very long time and our friendship will carry on.'
