Pete Doherty plans to leave London

He wants to escape to the country to kick his drug habit

Pete Doherty is planning to escape to the country in a bid to leave his messy London lifestyle behind and kick his drug habit.

The Babyshambles singer, 28, is desperate to not slip back into his old ways after his stint in rehab and wants to concentrate on his music career.

‘Pete really wants to make a go of being clean,’ a friend tells The Sun.

‘He loved going away to Kate Moss’s place in the country. She was looking at buying him a place to escape to. But then they split up.’

The troubled singer is struggling to get over his split with the supermodel – who is reportedly dating Jamie Hince – and hopes that green fields and fresh air will clear his head.

‘No one has seen him this healthy in a very long time,' says his pal. 'He's determined to stay this way.’
