Baby boy for Noel Gallagher

Rocker becomes a dad for the second time

Noel Gallagher has become a dad for the second time.

Girlfriend Sara Macdonald gave birth to a 7lb 5oz baby boy on Saturday at London’s Portland Hospital, following a 7-hour natural birth.

The couple have called their new son Donovan.

Oasis star Noel, 40, announced the news with a text message to his friends and family.

It read: ‘He shall go by the name of Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher and he will be a legend. Give thanks and praise.’

The footy-mad rocker had planned to name his little boy after ex-England and Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson - but had a change of heart.

‘During the pregnancy Noel was calling the bump Little Sven,' a pal tells the Sun. 'Luckily he’s ended up as Donovan.’

Chances are Sara put her foot down on that one.

Noel already has a 7-year-old daughter, Anais, with ex-wife Meg Mathews.

Donovan was also born a day after his uncle Liam’s birthday - now there’s a birthday bash to live up to!
