Singer reveals how she started having contractions outside B&Q

Doing their bit for charity, Charlotte and Gavin enjoy dinner and a catwalk show at the Savoy Hotel in aid of the Top To Tail Benefit for Spinal Research

Charlotte Church has revealed she almost gave birth in the car park of a DIY store.

The singer, 21, was mortified when she stared having contractions outside B&Q while in the car.

‘I was trying to hide but couldn't - I was just sitting there having contractions!’ she says.

Despite the disastrous start, Charlotte gave birth to Ruby at the Welsh farmhouse she shares with Gavin Henson, 25, and says she can’t believe how happy she is.

‘I'm really shocked by how I feel,’ she says. ‘It's just massive amounts of love towards her. It's like she's always been here.’
