Friday, 21 September 2007
Jamie Oliver is continuing his mission to make the (food) world a better place as he plans to snap up the Little Chef restaurant franchise.
After trying to improve kids' lunches in Jamie's School Dinners, the 32-year-old now wants to rejuvenate the troubled food chain for a new reality show.
‘It's a tempting proposition for a TV company,’ a source tells the Sun, ‘as you're dealing with one of Britain's best-loved brands.’
Jamie's chewing over the possibility of bidding £20 million for the roadside chain – which almost went bankrupt earlier this year.
His spokesman has confirmed that the dad-of-two's production company Fresh One ‘has held talks about buying the business.’
