Britney Spears to star in a movie about a mentally ill patient

Troubled star chosen over Lindsay Lohan

Britney Spears is in talks to star in a movie about a misdiagnosed mentally ill patient.

Lindsay Lohan, 21, was the original choice for the role of the leading man's girlfriend in Memoirs Of A Medicated Child but now 26-year-old Britters is front runner for the part.

‘As far as Britney’s concerned, we’re talking,’ director Tommy Parker tells the New York Post.

The singer is also being lined up to star as the Virgin Mary in new film Sweet Baby Jesus.

Britney’s last attempt at acting was in 2002 with Crossroads, which was a flop at the cinema.
