Singer makes subtle dig during Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony
Tuesday, 11 March 2008
Justin Timberlake introduced Madonna to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Museum last night in a ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York.
The singer, 27, formally 'inducted' the Queen of Pop and noted that: ‘No one has gotten into the Hall Of Fame still looking this damn fine!’
But during his 10-minute speech lauding the multi-talented superstar, Justin surprised the audience by talking about troubled ex Britney Spears.
'The world has always been full of Madonna wannabes,’ he quipped, ‘and I might have even dated a couple.'
He then went on to mention Britney and Madge's infamous snog at the 2003 MTV VMA Awards.
'[Madonna] has still found time to kiss someone I may or may not have kissed myself,' he told the audience.
When this was met with groans, Justin added: 'Of course you know I was talking about Sean Penn.’
Justin has been supportive of Britney all through her recent troubles and recorded the 2002 video for Cry Me a River after their split.
