Singer warned of risks of sharing bed with Ruby

Charlotte Church has been warned she could be putting her daughter at risk by letting her sleep in the same bed as herself and Gavin.

The singer, 21 – who gave birth on 20 September – admits she sleeps with Ruby cuddled up next to her, but says she would never accidentally suffocate her.

‘Gavin was worried about me rolling over and smothering her,’ she says. ‘But I think it’s instinctive and I wouldn’t.

'The baby’s in front of me and Gavin cuddles up behind me because that’s the only way I can sleep.’

But the Foundation For The Study Of Infant Deaths director Joyce Epstein has warned the new mum of the dangers of this.

‘We wanted to make sure she was making an informed decision about the risks,’ Ms Epstein tells the Daily Mirror.
