The Backstreet Boys have admitted they were gutted with Kevin Richardson left the group - but say they’ll always leave the door open for him if he wants to come back.
The newly reformed boy band – who had 4 hugely successful albums in the 90s – broke up 7 years ago but are now ready to make a comeback despite being one member down.
‘His leaving was hard,’ Howie admits.
‘Kevin and I really saw eye to eye, but he wanted to take a step back and do different things such as start a family, act and produce.'
But the boys are happy for their former bandmate to follow his heart and have quashed rumours they are going to replace him.
‘There was talk of having a reality TV show where we’d audition for a replacement,’ Howie tells You magazine.
‘But we decided against it. The door is always open for Kevin and he knows it.’
The Backstreet Boys' dramatic new ballad Inconsolable is out now and their new CD Unbreakable is out on the 30 October.
