Amy Winehouse’s mum gives her £300 pocket money a week

Singer is limited to strict budget

Amy Winehouse’s mother Janis is so worried about her daughter’s future that she's keeping tight control of her finances.

She gives the troubled singer a weekly budget of £300 to spend - and hopes she can get her life back together after her drug overdose last month.

‘She’s lost herself,’ says Janis. 'I knew she was smoking marijuana but not that she was doing class A drugs.'

Amy, 24 tomorrow, and husband Blake Fielder-Civil recently returned from a holiday in St Lucia and are reported to be trying for a baby.

'I didn't think they'd actually get married,' Janis, 52, tells First. 'But Amy is loyal. If Blake is her choice I have to respect it.'
