Naomi Campbell signs up Shayne Ward for catwalk

X Factor winner asked to appear in Nelson Mandela fashion show

X Factor winner Shayne Ward has been headhunted for the catwalk– by Naomi Campbell.

The supermodel, 37, approached the singer in Café De Paris in London and asked him if he would appear in a huge fashion show – as a tribute to Nelson Mandela.

And Shayne, 23, who hasn't quite become the superstar he might have imagined after winning the Channel 4 talent show in 2005, is more than happy to be strutting his stuff on stage.

‘I’m really pleased I was asked to take part in this show,’ Shayne tells The Sun.

‘Naomi is one of the most beautiful and sexy women in the world. Who wouldn’t want to walk down the catwalk with her?’
