Amy Winehouse describes herself as 'engulfed in shame' following her overdose in August.
The Rehab singer, 24, insists that she owes her life to husband Blake.
'I really thought I was on the way out. My husband Blake saved my life, brought me into hospital,' she explains.
Amy collapsed in A&E after taking a cocktail of drugs, and had to have her stomach pumped. She says she's shocked at her own behaviour.
'Often I don't know what I do. Then the next day the memory returns. And then I am engulfed in shame,' she tells German magazine Stern.
The star also reveals that she has sought help for depression.
'I have taken pills for depression but they slowed me down. I felt that a black cloud hangs over me. I believe there are lots of people who have these mood changes.'
