Charlotte Church names her baby

Charlotte and Gavin opt for Ruby Megan Henson

Golden couple Charlotte and Gavin celebrate Char winning UK Solo Artist of the Year at the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards in London

Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson have named their baby girl Ruby Megan Henson.

A statement on Charlotte's web blog reads: 'Hi, Everyone, I've just been chatting to Charlotte this morning and she told me that she and Gavin have chosen the name Ruby for their baby daughter.

'Ruby was born at 10.35pm last Thursday and weighed in at 6lbs 12ozs, exactly the same weight that Charlotte was when she was born.

'Charlotte said that they have spent the weekend receiving family and friends and everything is fine with both her and Ruby.'

Ruby is 21-year-old Charlotte's first baby and was born at the home she shares with rugby star Gavin in the Vale of Glamorgan.
