Madonna adoption setback

Child welfare inspector replaced

Madonna at Heathrow Airport, London, Britain - 17 Feb 2007

Madonna’s adoption of David Banda is facing a new setback.

The child welfare officer meant to be arriving from Malawi this week has been replaced at the last minute.

Penston Kilembe was due in visit Madge's home to assess whether the 49-year-old is suitable to look after 22-month-old David.

But Mr Kilembe is said to have been getting ‘too cosy’ with the superstar.

‘The whole thing is being looked at with fresh eyes,’ an official tells the Daily Mirror.

Welfare officer Simon Chisale will now visit Madonna and hubby Guy Ritchie at their London mansion.
