He says he was offered Hell’s Kitchen first
Saturday, 27 October 2007
Gordon Ramsay has taken a swipe at Marco Pierre White’s reign at Hell’s Kitchen – saying that ‘he’s welcome to my sloppy seconds’.
The craggy-faced celeb chef was the star of the first series of the ITV reality show but has now moved on to other projects.
‘As for doing Hell’s Kitchen, well, they asked me first, but I did it once and never again,’ he says. ‘He’s welcome to my sloppy seconds.’
But fiery Gordon, 40, does admit that Marco, 45, who used to be his boss, can be very scary when he's got a knife in his hand.
‘To be the best you have to push and push,’ he tells Live magazine. ‘Marco used to be a savage. I worked for him; I know.’
