Courtney Love: Steve Coogan should go home

UK comedian's lawyers strenuously deny he was a bad influence on Owen Wilson

Courtney Love has sensationally blamed Steve Coogan for Owen Wilson's suicide attempt - and now she wants the British comedian to leave the US.

‘Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t comment, but I care too much about Owen,’ says Courtney, 43. ‘I tried to warn Owen; I tried to warn his friends.

‘Hopefully the guy will leave us alone in this town and go back to Brighton or wherever the hell he's from… and stay there.'

Courtney - who used to be 'good friends' with Steve, 41 - claims his wild lifestyle was a 'bad influence' on Owen.

Steve's representatives have denied the singer's sensational claims, which they insist are ‘false and without foundation’.

Owen, 38, is recovering in hospital while speculation mounts over why he tried to end his own life.

Was it because he saw pictures of ex-girlfriend Kate Hudson kissing new boyfriend Dax Shepard, 32?

Owen’s brother Andrew, 43, found the actor lying unconscious on his bed, with cuts to both wrists.

The actor is reported to have taken an overdose of powerful OxyContin painkillers – otherwise known as ‘hillbilly heroin’.

His attorney denies drugs were involved and that the actor had also taken crystal meth.
