Were you nervous about taking charge of the show?
It’s massive for me. It’s the first proper big primetime show that I’ve been offered and taken. I’m scared and nervous.

So you’re crapping yourself?
Yeah, in a way!

How has new judge Dannii Minogue settled in?
She’s a force of nature – I can’t believe how well she’s doing. She’s done Australia’s Got Talent, so she’s used to it. She’s got sass, she looks fantastic and she has experience. Dannii can deliver the goods.

Have any X Factor contestants got a bit frisky with you?
There’s been a couple of arse pinches. I didn’t mind, but at the same time I was thinking: ‘Oh no!’

Has Sharon tried it on yet?
How dare you speak about Sharon like that!
