Amy Winehouse desperate to read NME

Singer appears to help herself to music mag

Amy Winehouse allegedly walked off with a magazine from a newsagents - and was caught on video.

Onlookers insist the singer, 23, took a copy of NME off the shelves and left without leaving the cash.

‘I saw her at the till paying for a few bits and pieces,’ photographer Ray Field, who filmed the episode, tells the Daily Record.

‘Then as she left she seemed to look over her shoulder to see if she was being watched and then reached up and grabbed the magazine. I don't know if she nicked it or not.’

The incident happened at a newsagents in Camden, north London, last week.

We're sure Amy did pay for the music mag... but if she has trouble getting hold of a copy while in rehab, she can always catch up with all the latest news online.
