David Schwimmer warns of sex attacks

Friends star says binge drinking makes women vulnerable

David Schwimmer

David Schwimmer has launched an appeal warning women about the dangers of being molested when they're smashed.

The Friends star, 40, is director for the Rape Treatment Center in LA.

He became involved with the organisation after a female friend was sexually attacked.

‘It worries me that so many girls go out binge drinking, then lose all sense of what they're doing and who they're with,’ he tells Cosmopolitan.

‘I'm all for going out, getting drunk with friends and having great sex in a consensual situation, but you have to know where to draw the line.

‘I'm a man and I know men go out looking for sex, which is OK, but it's not OK to have sex against someone's will or to abuse someone who's under the influence of drugs or alcohol.’
