Hollywood star blasts Spice Girl for defamatory statements

Eddie Murphy thinks Mel B's out to ruin his career

The war of words between Eddie Murphy and Mel B continues.

The Hollywood star, 46, accuses Mel, 32, – mum to his daughter Angel Iris – of trying to ruin his reputation.

Eddie’s lawyer has blasted the Spice Girl and her attorney, Gloria Allred.

A stongly-worded letter claims that Mel has tried to smear Eddie’s name in a bid to get him to give in to ‘extortionate demands’, reports thelondonpaper.

‘You have been engaging in a pattern of disseminating disparaging, negative and defamatory statements about Mr Murphy…in order to pressure Mr Murphy to capitulate to your highly unreasonable extortionate demands,’ the letter reads.

Eddie’s legal team say Mel has demanded a £4.5m house in Malibu and all associated expenses for her to live there for the next 18 years.
