Amy Winehouse admits heroin use to mum-in-law

Before Amy Winehouse agreed to go into rehab with hubby Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, she revealed her secret drug addiction to her mum-in-law.

The troubled singer, 23 - who was rushed to hospital last Wednesday - unburdened the truth to Blake’s mum Georgette Civil, 42, and stepfather Giles.

‘She told me she was addicted to heroin and cocaine,’ says Georgette.

‘She admitted “It's silly, but you just get carried away”.’

Georgette, who says she’s known about her son's drug problem since he was 20, is not pointing the finger at anyone.

‘You can't blame Amy and you can't blame Blake,’ she tells the Daily Mirror. ‘They are both as bad as each other.

‘It's the hardest thing in the world for me to say in public that my son and his wife have a drug problem.

‘They've admitted it. It's not a crime to admit this and they must not feel ashamed.’
