Is Ashton Kutcher starring in the film version of Bob The Builder? The actor has shocked New York residents by carrying out handyman work on their homes.

He's been shadowing a real-life worker to research for a movie role, reports the New York Daily News.

‘People recognised him when he was out,’ one local says. ‘One gentleman was sitting in traffic when he saw Ashton. He left his car idling, raced out and asked for an autograph.’
