He locks himself in dressing room

He’s portrayed as Mr Nasty on the X Factor, but Simon Cowell reveals he’s scared of rejected contestants’ mums.
The pop mogul, 47, admits he locks himself in his dressing room after X Factor auditions to avoid overbearing family members who take a ‘no’ badly.
‘I wait until the coast is clear then I get out of there,’ he tells the Radio Times. ‘There’s nothing worse than when you’ve got a mother shouting at you.’
Simon needs to have a bodyguard round the clock to keep angry mums at bay – he believes that if he didn’t have any security he’d have been ‘punched in the mouth’ by now.
