TV presenter is ‘heartbroken’

Denise Van Outen splits from James Lance

Denise van Outen is said to be devastated after splitting with actor boyfriend James Lance.

‘Denise is heartbroken,’ a source says. ‘They both care for each other very much - but they decided it was best to go their separate ways.’

The couple, both 32, called it quits because they couldn’t continue their long-distance relationship. Denise lives in the States while James is in Brighton.

‘The distance between them proved too much,’ the source tells The People.

‘Denise is a real career girl and her commitments in the States meant she couldn't throw herself 100 per cent into the relationship.’

A spokesman for Denise confirmed the couple have split – but says they’re still pals.

‘They're still really good friends and are very close.’
