Billie Piper was rushed to hospital after suffering from sudden blindness

Billie Piper was rushed to hospital yesterday after fears she was losing her sight.

The actress, 24, suffered a sudden attack of blindness.

She couldn’t open her eyes when she woke up after a night out.

Earlier, she had experienced blurred vision while at a restaurant.

Doctors at Moorfield's eye hospital in Central London are carrying out tests to see if Billie’s retina is damaged.

‘She's being looked at but we don't know the score,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘It could be that her eyesight has been damaged or that she has some form of infection or other condition.’

An ITV spokesperson says Billie should recover: ‘Billie woke up and couldn't open her eyes. She has non-permanent damage to her sight.’
