Amy Winehouse was rushed to hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The singer, 23, collapsed after being taken to A&E in a semi-conscious state by husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 25.

Staff at London’s University College Hospital rushed her for emergency treatment. She is said to have been given an adrenaline shot and had her stomach pumped.

‘She didn’t look well at all,’ an onlooker tells The Sun. ‘She couldn’t really stand on her own. That’s when I realised Amy must have been really ill because she was rushed straight through.'

Her record label Island says that she collapsed from ‘exhaustion’.

‘Amy Winehouse was admitted to UCL Hospital, London, suffering from severe exhaustion,’ a spokesperson tells the Daily Mirror. ‘She has been advised to take complete rest.’

And now friends are worried about her health.

‘For months we’ve been terrified something like this would happen,’ one pal tells The Sun. ‘We're praying this is the wake-up call she needs.’

Amy was discharged last night and left the hospital by a back entrance.
