Kerry Katona's desperate for a part on Corrie

Kerry Katona could be launching an acting career after secretly auditioning for a role on Coronation Street.

The singer, 26 – who’s a huge fan of the soap - has been interviewed by the show’s casting director.

A Street spokesman confirmed Kerry is in talks to join the show.

‘Kerry did pop in to see the casting director,’ he tells the Daily Star.

‘She wasn’t auditioning for a specific part, it was more a case of keeping her in mind if a suitable role comes up.’

We’d think Kerry would be great as a barmaid in the Rovers Return.
