Sarah Michelle Gellar was banned from McDonald's as a 5-year-old – because she took a swipe at the firm's fast food.

The Buffy The Vampire Slayer star filmed a commercial for Burger King criticising the rival chain

As a result, Sarah, now 30, says she wasn't allowed to walk under the golden arches and frequently missed friends' special celebrations.

‘It was tough, because when you’re a little kid, McDonald's is where all your friends have their birthday parties,’ she tells the Daily Record.

‘So I missed out on a lot of apple pies.’

Mmmmm, hard to imagine this one.

How on earth did McDonald's keep her out? With a global army of security guards with photographic memories? We don't think so...
