SEE VIDEO Spice Girls voted to play in Iraq

Fans want the girl group to perform in war-torn Baghdad

The Spice Girls’ plan to let fans vote for extra stops on their world tour might well have backfired.

A massive internet campaign could mean that Emma Bunton, 31, Geri Halliwell, 34, Mel B, 32, Mel C and Victoria Beckham, both 33, will end up performing in war-torn Iraq.

‘Baghdad's already generated thousands of votes and it'll definitely be a contender when the voting ends,’ says a source.

And the Spices are up for it.

‘The girls will go anywhere in the world that gets the most votes - be it Baghdad or Antarctica,’ a spokesperson for the group tells the Daily Mirror.

We don’t think Posh will like having to wear an army helmet over her hairdo.
