Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton's show The Simple Life has been axed by E!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, they’ve lost their TV show.

The jailbird pals’ reality programme The Simple Life has been axed by the E! network, reports the Daily Mirror.

Paris, 26, probably isn't bothered as she's landed a part in a futuristic rock opera musical called Repo! The Genetic Opera.

As for Nicole, 25 - at least, she'll have more time to party.
