He’s already been banned from filming at military locations in Berlin, and now the German Protestant Church has attacked Scientologist Tom Cruise.
The Hollywood star is currently in Europe filming Valkyrie, about a failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on 20 July 1944.
The Church of Scientology, the 'applied religious philosophy' that Tom believes in, is regarded as a cult in Germany and kept under surveillance.
‘This film will have the same propaganda advantages for Scientology as the 1936 Olympics had for the Nazis,’ Thomas Gandow of the German Protestant Church tells The Independent.
Mr Gandow has dubbed Tom, 45, the 'Joseph Goebbels of Scientology' and insists that the religion founded by L. Ron Hubbard is a 'totalitarian organisation'.
