Tom Cruise is a perfect Nazi

But it’s only for film role – and he’s playing a good guy

Here’s the first pic of Tom Cruise as a German officer for his latest flick.

The 45-year-old is a dead ringer for Count Claus von Schenk Stauffenberg, the character he plays in Valkyrie.

The German army officer was one of the leading figures in a failed plot to kill Adolf Hitler and seize power in Germany which took place 63 years ago today - 20 July 1944.

Tom, who is filming in Berlin, has had problems getting permission to film in some of the city's historic locations because of his Scientology beliefs but production is now underway.
