Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts may be an ex-mobile salesman, but he can’t ring home because his phone is broken.
Last week, we reported how the film ET inspired Paul to take up opera.
And now, just like the loveable alien, the singer can’t get through to anyone.
‘The irony is I used to work for Carphone Warehouse selling phones and right now I'm trying to get mine to work,’ says Paul, 34.
‘One of my friends has had to set it to divert because it keeps cutting out mid-flow when I try to talk to people.’
And Paul reveals he isn’t intending on using one of his songs as a ringtone.
‘I’m not even sure if it will be available as a ringtone to be honest,' he tells the Daily Record. 'It would really sound freaky.
‘It was already quite freaky when I heard my song played on the radio when I was coming back in the car from the studio.’
