Piers Morgan defends Jade Goody
He laid into her when he was a tabloid editor, but now Piers Morgan has come to the defence of shamed Celeb BB housemate Jade Goody.
Jade, 26, became a public hate figure in January after being accused of racist bullying towards winner Shilpa Shetty, 32.
But the Britain's Got Talent judge believes she isn't racist.
Piers, 42, puts her bullying behaviour towards the Bollywood actress down to a 'very damaged upbringing'.
'There's no excuse for her behaviour,' he says, 'but let's not pretend she's a racist – it's an insult to the victims of racism who know what it really is.
'We built Jade up in to a national treasure and then we all gleefully killed her.'
