Thandie Newton: Ditch your cat and find a guy

Actress says a puss is just a substitute fella

Thandie Newton has some important advice for single girls looking for a guy.

She says get rid of your pet cat because she reckons a puss can take the focus away from fellas.

‘If you're single, the first thing you need to do is ditch your cat,' Thandie, 34, tells the Daily Mail.

The actress has two daughters with director Oliver Parker.

‘I got rid of my cat as soon as I met my husband, although, of course, I made sure it went to a good home.

'I realised that it was simply a man substitute and because I had got a real one, I didn't need it any more.’

Yeah, but can a bloke live on a 50p can of catfood a day and catch bluebottles in his mouth? We don't think so...
