SEE VIDEO David Walliams and Matt Lucas take Little Britain to US
Matt Lucas and David Walliams are to make 6 half-hour episodes of their Little Britain show for HBO.
Chav Vicky Pollard and Welsh Daffyd, the only gay in the village, will cross the Atlantic but David and Matt will also create new American characters.
Filming is expected to begin later this year for the 2008 series.
The show will be produced by Spice Girls supremo Simon Fuller.
"We're very keen to take Little Britain to as wide an audience as possible,' says David, 35.
'We have grown up with huge respect for American comedy.'
Little Britain began as a radio show before transferring to BBC TV in 2003.
