Catherine Zeta Jones: I couldn't have married Michael if he hadn't wanted kids

She told the actor she’d leave him

Catherine Zeta Jones threatened to leave hubby Michael Douglas if he didn’t want children.

The actress, 37, warned him of her plans to start a family before they married.

‘I turned to him and asked, “Do you really want children?”' she recalls.

'I thought for one minute he was going to say, “I already have a son, Cameron”.

‘I would then have had to say goodbye.’

But fortunately for the Hollywood couple, Michael felt the same way.

‘I remember saying defiantly, “I can't live without having children”. And he went, “Me too”,' Catherine tells Parade magazine.

Now the Welsh beauty and Michael, 62, are proud parents to Dylan, 7, and Carys, 4.
