One of Catherine Tate's favourite on-screen characters, ghastly teenager Lauren, is about to meet a sticky end – and George Michael has been chosen to do the honours.
Catherine, 39, has decided to do away with the nation's favourite chavvy schoolgirl so she can concentrate on her role in BBC's Doctor Who.
'It's going to be Lauren Cooper RIP,' an insider tells The Daily Mirror. 'Catherine think it's time to kill her off, and she'll be going in spectacular style.'
George Michael has already filmed his part in grumpy Lauren's demise - which will be screened in a Xmas TV special.
'George is happy to take the mick out of himself,' says The Sun's mole.
'He'll do anything Catherine tells him as he's such a fan.'
