Lindsay Lohan reads Machiavelli

Wild girl is a fan of Italian's writings

Lindsay Lohan

You’d think she’d like to snuggle up in bed with the latest gossip magazine, but Lindsay Lohan prefers studying Machiavelli's The Prince.

Machiavelli - an Italian philosopher who lived in the 16th century - is famous for writing about political intrigue, back-stabbing and manipulation.

Lindsay, 21, says that she has a copy of his book, The Prince, with her at all times.

‘I was going out with someone and they said I should read Machiavelli,’ she tells Tatler. ‘Now it is always with me.’

What next? Paris Hilton reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being?
