Beyoncé Knowles turned a concert-going nightmare into a dream of sorts for two fans who suffered minor injuries at her show in St. Louis on Sunday night.
Early on during the performance, the fans were injured when pyrotechnics meant for the stage spilled into the front row at the Scottrade Center, the Associated Press reports. They were taken to a local hospital.
After the concert, Knowles, 25, who is currently on a world tour, personally made a quiet visit to the E.R. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital to visit the fans, both of whom were expected to make full recoveries, the AP reports.
The head nurse at the hospital, Darryl Williams, said Knowles stayed for about 45 minutes. "She was just very concerned about the people injured in the audience," he said. "It was unannounced and we kept it very low-key so that she could spend time with them."
Williams added: "I just thought it was a great thing for someone of her stature to do."
The names of the fans were not released.
Knowles' world tour began in April in Tokyo. It continues this week in Mexico and Texas and will criss-cross the country before wrapping in Vancouver in early September.
A spokesman for Houston-based Music World entertainment, which represents Knowles, declined comment to the AP.
