Chantelle Houghton: Brighton ruined our marriage

CBB star split with Preston because she hated living by the sea

Chantelle Houghton says her marriage to Preston ended because she loathed living in Brighton.

The Essex Girl, 23, moved to the seaside town when she married the Ordinary Boys singer last year.

‘The truth is I found living in Brighton very hard,’ she says. ‘My life had changed and it was a time when I needed familiar things around me.

‘And being in Brighton I had nothing. I had no family, no friends and it was a really hard.’

The marriage only lasted 10 months but Chantelle reckons she and Preston could have made a go of it if they'd moved to the capital.

‘I do believe that if we’d lived in London...things would have been better,’ she insists.
