Sir Paul McCartney: Going vegetarian will save world

Macca says eat your greens and help the planet

Sir Paul McCartney says global warming will be halted if the world turns vegetarian.

Macca, 65, reckons everyone should do their bit by ditching meat.

‘Livestock farming is one of the biggest destroyers of the planet,’ he says.

‘When you see the Amazon being cut down for hamburger cattle, that's pretty obvious.’

And the outspoken vegetarian says that meat-eaters are hypocrites.

‘It's all done in the name of something that benefits humans, when in fact it's the opposite,’ he tells the Daily Mirror.

‘It's all about attitudes, no one thinks they're the one who has to change.’
