Geri Halliwell turns to God to find a bloke

Ginger Spice is now using the Bible in her man mission – with disastrous results

Unhappy clapper Geri Halliwell, 34, has turned to the Lord in her epic search for a serious relationship – and it’s not going according to the masterplan.

Her Christian devotion is striking the fear of God into most would-be suitors, including her last boyfriend, Little Britain star David Walliams, 36.

A source close to David tells Now: ‘David was keen on Geri and they did have a thing for a while.

‘He found her very attractive and was thinking there could be a future in it until she got out the Bible, quite literally.

'It was when she handed it to him with all her favourite bits highlighted that he got cold feet and decided not to go there. Who can blame him?’

Geri was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness after her mother Ana Maria converted when Geri was very young.

Since then, she's said to have dabbled in Kabbalah but has recently been making regular appearances at Hinde Street Methodist Church, west London.
