Cybill Shepherd: My boyfriend attacked me

Moonlighting star claims top actor assaulted her

Actress Cybill Shepherd has revealed she was once the victim of a serious assault by a top actor.

But the 57-year-old refuses to name him.

The incident took place 'many years ago' and Cybill didn't report it at the time.

It was her boyfriend who got violent after she told him she wanted to see other people.

‘He jerked the necklace off me and he threw me around the kitchen,’ she explains.

‘And he said to me: “Don’t even think of getting the keys to your car, because I have them, and you’re not getting them to be able to get away.”’

Fortunately, another couple were able to restrain the unnamed man.

‘That changes your life forever,’ she says. ‘It takes a while to trust men again. It takes a while to trust yourself again.’
