Louise Redknapp: We've never cashed in on our fame

Footballer Jamie's wife prefers a low-key life

She may be a WAG but Louise Redknapp says she and hubby Jamie are not interested in cashing in on their fame.

The couple married in Bermuda in 1998 and have led a pretty low-key lifestyle ever since. They don't to be in the spotlight.

'It doesn't particularly appeal to us, especially Jamie,' says Louise, 32. 'He just wanted to play football.

'He was the captain, and he was proud just to do that. He wasn't a model. However, times have changed and it's more acceptable for players to have a celebrity status and promote things.

'Some,' she adds, 'take it to the absolute max... but I think it's better to be known and remembered for what your talent is.'

The former Eternal singer says she has had some doubts about the choices they've made.

'There are times when you think, "Should we have cashed in more? Played the game a bit more?" Then we go, "Nah!"'
